Save the date!  Attend District Training! 9/21 8am-noon
This is IMPORTANT!  The best way to learn about Rotary is with other Rotarians.  I strongly encourage members to attend this event to meet other Rotarians and to learn from the best.
 
It is on Saturday September 21 from 8am to 12pm at the San Jacinto College Center for Petrochemical, Energy & Technology.

June Board Meeting Highlights:
  • Need volunteer for Club Secretary
  • Approved forming a new Companion Rotary Club
  • Approved $100 to fund new Scouting America Pack
  • Fund-raiser will be held March 22, 2025, at Safari Texas
  • Mark and Rafael will volunteer at Guerreo Clinic September 26 – October 6, Everyone is invited to participate
  • Approved Darla Alston, Laura LaVigne, Heidi Bailes, Patrick Houck and Marc Smith as Honorary Members

This is the Sugar Land Rotary Club at its best!  The City of Sugar Land asked for our help, and we responded.

Well it has been a slow first month of July so far and we have accomplished the following events:
 
4 Club meetings
1 board meeting
1 Golf Day
1 Companion Club formed - 4 new members
1 Hurricane work day - 8 in attendance
1 Member Theater Acting career taking off with club members attending the performances
1 Small Social event with only 22 apx in attendance
1 Stuff the bus project - 5 in attendance
2 Fundraiser meetings.
 
Mark you really need to step it up with these few events in July. LOL 
What will you do in August and the rest of the calendar year!!!!!
